Mixmedia image making is a key part of my practice, see below to enter the fascinating world of materials.
Mylar
A translucent surface I use for most pieces, so I can have color on both sides. See them in action here.
Acrylic Paints
I use this for the majority of my colored pieces, it makes Underpainting fast and vibrant.
Gouache Paints
The water soluble nature and matte finish allows me to add different surface qualities to my pieces, it’s always something I have on the side.
Paint Markers
These I use almost strictly for detailing once the piece is almost finished, adds a lot of energy to them!
Ball Point Pens
Just the ordinary pen for writing, but one of my favourites when it comes to adding something different to a piece.
Inks and Wet Media
These are very useful when it comes to glazing over mixmedia works, or to simply draw on top of them. I have a section dedicated to ink drawings/paintings here too!
